Jan/Feb

I haven't blogged in so long I don't know where to start. So I am just looking through pictures to find anthing notable we've done. I organize my pictures on the computer in files by month, and there are no files from Sept, Oct, or Nov 2011. I guess we are either missing some pictures on one of our cameras somewhere, or else we were just working and going to school, which is very likely. Anyway, Here are some random pics from the beginning of 2012.

We have been trying to take advantage of our Fridays off together, because we know they won't last forever. I planned a date one Friday that was pretty much an all-day-long date. First we went to the temple. Then we did a progressive meal. We had appetizers (soup) at Noodles and Company - (pictured below. When we ordered we didn't mention that we were having soup as an appetizer, not a MEAL, so they gave us HUGE bowls of soup, instead of the cups I was expecting). We had the main course from the Asian place at Smith's (Rice Garden maybe?) It is really yummy, and we are tempted by the yummy smells every time we grocery shop! Then dessert was at Charlie's ice cream. As an activity we decided to try something that I'd done on a date in college. We went to different stores, and at each one we had to find an item that reminded us of a childhood story and share it with each other. It was fun to hear stories we'd never told each other before, and to find out that we are still learning about each other! It was also fun to explore some stores we'd never been to before. We went to both antique stores on the East side of main street, and the pawn shop. To end the night we went to an Aggie hockey game against Washington. They won by a landslide, like 10-2 or something.
Alex is a friend I met my freshman year of college. I got a job at Rise, where he worked, and we ended up working the same Saturday shift together for a long time. We have remained friends, and he has become friends with Shaun too. We don't get together very often, and when we do it's always to go shooting, but it's always tons of fun! I hadn't been in a long time, and I was afraid I'd lost my skills, but let's just say I haven't!

Shaun throwing the clay pigeon for himself because everyone else

was struggling with the thrower:

Alex made us all take some hip-shots with the shotgun. Everyone but him had a hard time hitting the box, even when we moved it closer. He definitely practices. :)
I took some scenery shots while we were up there.

We haven't been watching TV on Sundays lately, and neither of us are sports fans at all, but we decided the Superbowl was a good excuse to get together with family, and enjoy something that my Grandpa Smith loves with him. (And for Brooke and I to make food off of Pinterest! We have been obsessed!)

Jessie, Brooke, Mom, Gma Smith
We also played games with Gma, because she doesn't enjoy football so much.
