But last night Shaun was cutting up this pineapple that we got in our Bountiful Basket like 2 weeks ago. We'd been looking forward to it, but just hadn't gotten around to it. So we were finally going to eat it for a late snack! I was in the front room when I hear from the kitchen something fall, and then Shaun say something that he normally would not..... I thought he'd dropped the pineapple. Then he said, "I think we're going to have to go to the hospital." He had gotten a little out of control with the knife. All the instacares were closed for the day so we had to go to the ER.
This is when the nurse unwrapped the papertowels and kitchen towel we'd shown up with.
Then they made him irrigate it himself in the sink and it started bleeding more.
The light was too bright, so sorry, you don't get a good shot of the gore. J/K it wasn't too gory. I actually watched the doc put a couple of stitches in! I was surprised at myself.
All finished! 6 stitches. The color of the antiseptic is worse than actual blood!
The nurse was having a hard time getting his blood pressure because his arms are so muscley ;-)
