Thanksgiving Pies

This is kind of out of order, but oh well. Shaun and I made some of the pies for Thanksgiving at my parents' house. We made pumpkin, pecan, and apple. We made all the crusts too! I had never made crust before, and I was a little nervous because EVERYONE always talks about how hard crusts are! I was glad a few other people were bringing pies too, in case ours didn't turn out. We tried two different crust recipes, and one turned out better than the other, but they were both edible.
Yummy! Lotsa Crisco.

Hope this works....

Successfully rolled out and transferred to the pie dish!

Beautifying the edges.

Ta da! We got a few dark spots. Easily preventable by putting a piece of aluminum foil over them when the top is as done as you want, but we weren't paying attention...

Jamie made the other pies.

When you make them, you have to try them all!

My adorable cousin, Sheridan. She brought Spaghettios for her Thanksgiving dinner! Ha ha!
But she did have THREE PIECES of pumpkin pie. :) Love her!
