My two sisters-in-law and I went shopping this morning. We went to JoAnn's. They were having an AWESOME sale on flannel and fleece. Flannel was $1.29/yard, and it's usually $5.99/yard! The store opened at 6:00 so we went at 5:30. It was COLD! I had on thermals, winter boots, two shirts, a hoodie, a ski coat, a hat, scarf and gloves. My face was FREEZING! The wait in line wasn't that bad, and everyone was pretty under control. I was afraid people would be trying to jump in line and stuff, but it wasn't like that. When the doors opened we got the last three door buster prizes - $4 pairs of scissors, lol. My first priority was a rotary cutting board. They were 50% off! As were the rotary cutters. Then we started looking at fabrics. It was crowded! I heard a lady nearby say something about a number - OH CRAP! - we didn't even think about grabbing a number to get our fabric cut! That should've been the first thing we did. So we sent Sarah to go grab one. She got A89. Well, that gave us plenty of time to look for fabric. Sarah wasn't looking for fabric, so she took a little break......
While Natalie and I loaded up. We weren't even close to done at this point. I think we ended up with 21 bolts. At first we didn't have a cart, so we just started a pile on the floor and took turns watching it and looking for more flannel. We asked Sarah to find a cart, and there weren't any! She had to wait at the end of the checkout line, in another line of people waiting for empty carts. She got one for us after about 15 minutes.
We decided we had enough fabric and better stop looking when the numbers they were calling were about at 30. This was around 8:00. Then we headed to the other end of the store where it was less crowded. We switched waiting spots a few times to keep ourselves entertained. Sarah ended up going out to the car to keep warm. Around 10:15 our number was called! You should've seen some of the other carts! There were people with WAY more bolts than we had. There were about 5 or 6 workers cutting like crazy! When our fabric was being cut they finally reached the numbers that started with "B", meaning they'd been through 100 numbers that start with "A". I ran into a friend who'd just gotten there and her number started with "C". After our fabric was cut the checkout line only took about 5 minutes. We left JoAnn's around 10:30.

None of us had eaten anything so we ended up going to Einstein's and Jamba Juice afterward.

We went back to my apartment and Shaun was still in bed. He finished off the Jamba Juices and then made french toast and hot chocolate. :)
It was a great shopping experience! Totally worth it! I ended up spending $56 total. Which was the original price of the cutting mat I bought. So for the regular price of the mat, I got:the rotary cutting mat (50% off)
a rotary cutter (50 % off)
a seam ripper (coupon for 50% off)
a pin cushion (coupon for 50% off)
2 packages of elastic (coupon for 50% off one of them)
about 14 yards of flannel
Then I had a coupon for 20% off total purchase, which only counted toward some of it, but still saved me about $8 more.
Yup, I think that's it! YAY FOR SALES!!
