Shaun surprised me with an iPod Touch for my birthday! He also got me a radio-converter thing, so I can listen to it in the car. I hadn't even asked for one or thought about wanting one, but I love it! I mostly use it for games and audio books and craft store apps.
I still don't have a single song on it, haha!
I have been asking for an ice cream cake for my birthday for 3 years. I finally got one! It was chocolate and peanut butter, and so good!
Other birthday fun:
*breakfast at IHOP with a coupon for a free birthday meal
*Shaun cleaned the house while I was at work
*Shaun's mom and sister took us to lunch and they got me a Ross giftcard and Tangled!
*holed up in our bedroom with the AC and watched Tangled
*bowling
*fireworks
We watched the Freedom Fire fireworks with my family from the lawn of our church. I thought it was cute that Shaun planned to meet up with my family for part of my birthday plans.
We canned on our own for the first time this year. We were very messy.
Almost ruined our (ahem - our landlords') stovetop.
We did TONS of jam:
RASPBERRY: got raspberries free from my parents' neighbor, I just had to pick them!
STRAWBERRY: I got strawberries WAY cheap at Walmart, like $1/carton
APRICOT: got them free from my grandparents' tree, and my dad picked them for me, lol
