Book Club

Sorry the titles of my posts are so boring.  I feel like everyone else is so creative.  But they are descriptive, so at least you know what it's going to be about. :)

The ladies I work with at River Heights Post High decided we should start a book club. This was the first month. We read The Bridge of San Luis Rey.

I chose it because it seemed like a safe (clean) bet and also came in a book club kit from Logan Library, so I could check out 8 copies at a time. It ended up being a little boring, and very different from the genres most of us enjoy. But it did raise some interesting questions. Which I guess is the point of a book club. We met at my house last night and had treats and discussed the book, and many other things. It was a lot of fun and I am so excited for our future Reading Rainbow Book Club/Girls' Nights!
These gigantic sugar cookies were a pain to cut out and put on the cookie sheet, but they were worth it!   (Thanks Shaun for the help!)  Everyone brought a type of fruit and we made fruit pizzas with cream cheese frosting.  They were soooooooooo good!
