Russell got a pitch fork for Christmas!  Haha - he always jokes about how in Tremonton the "townspeople" are always out to get him with their pitchforks.  So my parents got this for him for Christmas.  (It was actually for my grandpa, so we gave it to him later).

Me and my cousin Heather.  We grew up together, but she lives in North Carolina now.  We only see each other about once a year now.

I had Russell's name for Christmas.  Part of his gift was stick-on mustaches!  He wasted no time in putting one on.

Anniversary

We celebrated our third anniversary on December 22!

First we headed to Beyond Spa in Layton for foot massages!  It was fun - they had hot chocolate and candy and water in martini glasses all set out for us.  We had the whole room to ourselves, even though there were chairs for about 7 people.  

We did get interrupted once.  Beyond Spa just changed locations, and they were giving tours that day of their new building (which is fabulous).  At one point during our massages a lady walked in and looked around and then says in a surprised voice, "Oh!  There's a man!"  We all had a chuckle.  Good thing Shaun is confident and not ashamed to get a foot massage with me!  

Shaun's masseuse was about 10 months pregnant!  It was almost awkward.....shouldn't she be the one getting her feet rubbed?? 

Sorry the photo is crappy, but the lights were dim for the relaxation effect, and I only had my phone to take a picture with.  

Next we grabbed lunch at Famous Dave's.  

It was the first time I'd ever been there, and it was delicious.

Then we headed to the Bountiful temple.  It is the 10th temple we've been to in Utah!  We are slowly but surely making it to all of them.  It is a beautiful temple.

Next we stopped at Trader Joe's.  We are so excited there is one in Salt Lake now!  We LOVE their dark chocolate covered powerberries.  We stock up whenever we get a chance to stop there.  Somehow it seems we're often in our church clothes when we go to Trader Joe's.  Not sure why that happens so often.

Then on to Temple Square!

Then we saw the candy displays at Macy's at City Creek.  They were pretty amazing!

Last of all we went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  We love that place!  We've only been a few times, but we have never been disappointed!  

The one at City Creek has very crowded seating.  We were at a table for two, and there was about 1 foot of space between our table and the tables on either side of us.  Shaun and I can be pretty quiet, and we mostly ended up listening to a couple next to us who seemed to be just getting to know each other.  We tried to guess whether they were on their 2nd or 3rd date, or whatever.  

There was a group of 4 on the other side of us, a middle-aged couple and two of their kids I think.  Our tables were so close that they joined our conversation sometimes.  Like when I asked Shaun if prosciutto is a lunch meat, the gut next to us answered me instead, haha.  And then he made comments to us a couple of times as if he was trying to start conversation because we were so quiet.  I seriously think he though we were on a first date! LOL.  I wanted him to ask so I could tell him we were celebrating our 3rd anniversary.  I kinda felt bad that he was sitting there feeling awkward and sorry for us.  It was pretty funny.

It was a great day, and I am so happy to be married to Shaun!  We are still in love!!

Some pics from 2012

I realize 2012 is not over yet, but here are some pictures from the year.  My mom asked us to send her a picture of us for her yearly Christmas card.  So Shaun looked though our pictures and picked some out.  We just chose one to send to my mom, and I didn't want to just x-out of the rest that Shaun chose, so I just made a little collage.  

These pictures include our trips to Vernal, Disneyland, Spring Mountain Ranch, and Logan Canyon.

Halloween!

Shaun and I had THREE Halloween parties to go to this year!  Yay!  I actually had 4 if you count dressing up for work....which I do.  First party:  Special needs mutual.  We hadn't gotten our real costumes put together yet, so I grabbed some pirate accessories at Walmart:

I didn't necessarily do mine the same as the tutorials, but that's where I got the ideas.

 My cousin Cheyenne is going to beauty school, and we decided it was time for Shaun to get a haircut!  This is the before picture.  I will find an after picture for a future post.

Last year Shaun and I decided to start a tradition of making haunted gingerbread houses.  (Top Picture).
This year we invited our friends Cami and Kevin to join in!  They turned out great.

With all our leftover candy we decided to do haunted gingerbread houses again this year, with our friends Bobby and Cindy.  Theirs was so cool - it had a deck and everything!!
