Our Washer and Dryer

Guess what? We bought a washer and dryer! We have both been laughing about how excited we are about it. We started talking about it after we did our taxes, and that it would be a good thing to use our tax returns on. So we went out looking Presidents' Day and they were having awesome sales! So we thought about it for a few days and then bought them! Yay! No more laundromats, or trying to make it until the weekend so we could go to one of our parents' houses to do it!

This is how we had to get them in: through a hole cut in the back of our coat closet. When we moved in, I thought it was hilarious that there was a hole there, but we used it! There was no way they could've gotten them in through the bathroom door.

Here is Shaun getting them all perfectly installed. Husbands are so useful. :)
I resisted posting a picture of just the washer and dryer, since I'm sure no one cares that much, but Shaun says I might as well since I'm writing a whole blog about them, lol.

Valentine's Day!

Okay, so my blogs are a little out of order, and they come all at once, but we don't have the internet at our apartment. So we just do what we can when we visit our parents or whatever. For Valentine's Day we made and decorated sugar cookies, which turned out delicious. Our frosting turned out glaze-like and was really fun to decorate with. We were very proud of our cookies!

Snow Shoeing!

I feel like we do plenty of fun stuff, but not a lot that is something to blog about. We have friends over for games and dinner, or visit family, just stuff that you don't usually take pictures of. Well, on Presidents' Day we went snow shoeing! We went with our friends Megan and Evan. Megan was my roommate last semester. She and Evan got married a week after Shaun and I. So we had a lot of wedding planning going on in our apartment. This was the first time we hung out with them since we got married. Shaun was the only one who had been snowshoeing before. We rented from the ORC, which we found out was a ripoff. Apparently there is a much cheaper place called CampSaver, but we haven't checked it out for ourselves yet.

We decided to have races, and this is me and Shaun racing . . . you'll have to watch to find out who wins.

House Decorating

So we finally got around to decorating our huge, bare, white walls. It only took us two weekends. :) A lot of it is stuff we made ourselves.

My best friend Cami made these block letters of our last name. Then we bought and refinished this shelf to put them on. The shelf was like, $1.50 at the D.I.!

This is awesome. We put it on the wall in front of our bed, so we wake up to this huge fake scenic window every morning. It is just a picture Shaun took with his cell phone in Sardine Canyon. We were shocked it blew up so well. You can make your own at blockposters.com!

I made this out of my wedding bouquet. I was home alone one Sunday, so I took apart the bouquet that I had dried, ironed the ribbons that had been wrapped around it, and found a hanger in the closet :) It turned out pretty good for costing nothing!

This cost about $7. We bought the frames at the D.I. and the ribbon and black paint at WalMart. It was kind of hard to balance when we hung it up, and for a few days I kept waiting for it to fall down, but it has stayed up for almost a month! :)

BEING MARRIED IS AMAZING

Secretly figuring out what types of rings she may like, finding the ring, buying the ring, figuring out how, when, and where to propose, sending her on a crazy goose chase that takes her 2 hours which was only suppose to last 30 minutes, kneeing down infront of the Bluebird asking if she is ready for this, proposing, finishing preperations in two months, not knowing what to do for a month :S a week before wanting to have been married already, day before offically freaking out, morning of......butterflies in the stomach...feeling like it was all a dream, and the day just flew by (our dance was pretty freakin sweet, especially when we started making it up before we were even engaged), a week and a half later and a sweet honeymoon to Jackson Hole ( yep we totally saw wolves chowin down on a elk the had JUST killed!!) life is going great just relaxin and tryin to get into the groove of things.....yep life is good, great and even more...Amazing!!
